Message from the Chair
One of the most pressing challenges and opportunities that we face is the growing demand for cybersecurity talent. With global demand expected to reach 1.8 million by 2022 (Source: 2017 Global Information Security Workforce Study), being proactive and collaborative is no longer an option.
The CyberSmart Summit was created to bring together decision-makers, practitioners and visionaries in industry, government and academia to share challenges, opportunities and best practices for cybersecurity skills and workforce development. Going into our third international Summit we are looking forward to bringing together our colleagues from countries around the world to demonstrate how we have moved the needle and showcase the new connections and collaborations that have resulted over the last couple of years.
A key discussion over the last couple of years was the growing demand for a multi-disciplinary approach. CyberSmart 2019 will delve deeper into this aspect of cybersecurity and explore the international collaborative aspects of this approach. Our theme this year is Dream Big, so let’s do just that and act on it.
We look forward to collaborating with our existing partners and new partners at CyberSmart 2019!
