ALIGNING SCHOOLS, SKILLS AND JOBS.
CyberNB is empowering the next generation by spearheading initiatives that connect education and training to digital social issues and job prospects. Through a holistic approach that starts in elementary school, career pathways are now in place across all education levels in New Brunswick, where students are learning about opportunities and ethics related to tech from an early age.
Helping students thrive in the digital workforce
CyberNB, in partnership with New Brunswick’s Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and Cisco Canada, launched a new cybersecurity curriculum designed to narrow the digital skills gap in the province.
An immersive cybersecurity challenge
Cywaria: League North is an interactive cyberwar game that puts Canadian students registered in grades 11 or 12 on the front-line to tackle real-world cyber attack scenarios. This engaging platform is designed to teach students by replicating real-life cyber threats.
Faced with the latest cyber-attack scenarios this competitive gaming environment breeds excitement, giving students a unique insight into the dynamic nature of the cyber world. Designed to keep students engaged and by simulating real-life threats the challenging scenarios help them to learn valuable skills that will give them a head start in the cyber world.

Providing digital up-skilling for people with non-technical backgrounds.
Cyber Bootcamp is an intensive 12-week program brought to you by CyberNB and Canadian tech education leader, Lighthouse Labs, designed to kick-start your cybersecurity career.
The first Cyber Bootcamp cohort kicked on in September 2021 for students across Canada. Upon completion, students receive a certificate and are paired with employers to break into the booming cybersecurity industry, which boasts the lowest unemployment rates in the country and across the globe.
Connecting youth to paid internships and meaningful employment.
CyberNB was proud to be awarded the Digital Skills 4 Youth (DS4Y) contract by the Government of Canada in 2021 for the second year in a row. This paid internship program helps connect young graduates with meaningful digital-based jobs in Canadian companies. As the provincial delivery organization for DS4Y, CyberNB will place recent graduates in paying, promising positions with industry partners.
