Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

Canada’s Epicentre for Cybersecurity – New Brunswick

Cybersecurity talent is by far the most important asset being sought globally. Fredericton, New Brunswick, is Canada’s Epicentre for cybersecurity and is known nationally and throughout North America as a unique and growing cluster of cybersecurity companies and academic institutions that are supported by all levels of government working to protect our Critical Infrastructure, while also having the only cybersecurity skills and workforce development strategy in Canada.

Our ecosystem is comprised of global companies who have chosen New Brunswick for their global centres of excellence. Our post-secondary institutions are world-class centres of higher learning. The cornerstone to our academic excellence is the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and its Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity. UNB has a significant history in cybersecurity starting with the first computer science faculty in Canada and the first Master’s Program. In addition to global brands and a leading cybersecurity academic strong-hold, we are known as the start-up capital of Canada and we thrive in this recognition with cybersecurity startups too.

Canada’s Epicentre for Cybersecurity is focused on protecting our people and our economy by protecting our Critical Infrastructures. Join companies like IBM, Siemens, Bulletproof, Mariner Innovations, Beauceron Security, Global Intelligence, Difenda and more to make your mark in Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Our ecosystem thrives because of the true collaborative nature of our cybersecurity community and the relationships that we have with government (cities, provinces and the federal government all working together lock-step with us), academia and industry – from startups to midsize to global brands working to share best practices, ideas and commercialization activities.

Be a part of Canada’s only collaborative Critical Infrastructure Security Operations Centre with some of the world’s best cybersecurity companies.
Our latest project is the addition of a 135,000-square foot building in our Cyber Park. This building is Grade A office space with specific areas established for tenants who require specialized space for working on government or top-secret status projects.

New Brunswick is the only Canadian province to have a cybersecurity skills and workforce development strategy for talent development delivers long-term, mid-term and short-term human resources for the ecosystem.
