Phishing - phishing is carried out by a criminal attempting to get information and/or money from you, usually via an email. Often times email will be sent to you that “appear” to be from someone you know or a business that you work with. For example you might receive an email from what you believe to be your bank asking you to verify information by clicking on a link, which then takes you to a malicious site.
Ransomware - is malicious software that can be added to your computer via a malicious link that you click on, malicious software and/or malicious USB keys that you use. Once on your computer, your files are blocked and a ransom is requested in order get your files back. However, it is always recommended that you backup your files because even with paying the ransom, there is no guarantee that you will obtain your missing files.
Identity Theft - criminals have been able to get access to your credentials and as a result use the internet to either steal your money, or to defraud others.
